How to Select the Most Effective Probiotic Supplement
If you read You cannot live without bacteria! , you know how important it is to select a product that will nourish all your protective strains. That means you need a probiotic system.

The actual quantity of bacteria (CFU count) is not nearly as important as it is to make sure the product is complete. A probiotic system contains:

1. Many bacterial strains – delivered live, not as a white powder

2. The food supply the bacteria were grown upon

3. The substances the bacteria make that help control bad organisms. (Those are various bacteriocins and organic acids. These may actually be the most important part of the product.)

In an ideal product:

• The several strains are fermented together, avoiding the territorial competition that is a major downside of combining freeze-dried strains.

• Will contain the proprietary TH10 strain.

• The culture medium will contain NO dairy, soy or gluten but rather will be fruits, vegetables, herbs and seaweeds.

• If the bacteria are fermented at natural temperatures and packaged properly, the product will n ot require refrigeration.

• The product should be backed by extensive scientific research.

The only product I know of that meets these criteria is Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics 12+. It also has the advantages of being vegan and packed in convenient-to-carry blister packs. If you aren't sure how to take this product, read my suggestion in Probiotics - How to / FAQ.
